And we are back again. Happy Thursday folks, how is your week coming along? Anything exciting planned for this weekend? Well this week we bring to you an easy but sumptuous salad you can make a part of your meal. You can have this for lunch or dinner or even for a healthy snack. All it takes is 15 mins to get this going. Also what better way to get those yummy blueberries in your meal before the season ends eh? This salad is pretty versatile and so you can easily make it vegetarian by replacing the sausage with vegetarian sausages or add greens to it. There are plenty of veggie sausages available in the market, try them out if you haven’t before. Chutney & Curry – Sides for Indian Breakfast Dishes

Happy Thursday folks! Hope you all enjoyed our last post about Uttapam. I got quite a few requests last week asking suggestions for the chutneys and sides that go with Uttapam. So this week we bring to you some delicious and easy to make sides that goes well not only with Uttapams but most of the other Indian breakfast items. So without further ado, here you go… Peanut Chutney  The first one the list of sides is the ever so tasty peanut chutney. You can make this chutney at home and store in your fridge for up to a week if you’d like. For those of you who are allergic to peanuts do not get disheartened you can make coconut chutney instead. Follow below process to make coconut chutney by omitting peanuts and replacing it with same quantity of chopped or grated fresh coconut. Uttapam – Rice & Lentil Pancake

Happy Thursday dear friends! Hope you are having a great week. This week we decided to treat you to some yummy Indian breakfast item ‘Uttapam’. We made this dish regularly when my parents were over.  It is a healthy and filling breakfast item. Uttapam is essentially made with rice and urad dal and is a very versatile pancake as you can add the toppings of your choice. The colorful uttapam packs a punch with the necessary carbohydrates from rice and protein with the lentil. I topped my pancakes with grated carrots, chopped green chillies and garnished it with a drizzle of roughly chopped cilantro. You can have these pancakes as is or try them out with some spicy chutney and yogurt. Try this out and let me know how you liked it!
